Squadron “Alligators” will enjoy crew of CVC brigade at end of year

In 2022, the brigade of the Army Aviation of the Central Military District (CVO) will receive a squadron of reconnaissance helicopters Ka-52 “Alligator”. This was announced by the commander of the troops of the Central Committee General-Colonel Alexander Lapin, reports RIA Novosti.

“By the end of the year, to enhance the combat relics of the Army Aviation, stationed in the regions of the Urals, we plan to obtain a squadron of new percussion helicopters Ka-52. It will be the first unit in the military district, which is in service with this type of modern helicopters,” Lapin said .

The Russian reconnaissance helicopter Ka-52 is designed to defeat air and ground targets, as well as intelligence. The helicopter is equipped with an automatic 20 millimeters gauge gun 2A42. Ka-52 “Alligator” can carry blocks of unmanaged missiles, bombs, cannon containers, anti-tank and anti-aircraft controlled missiles.

Previously, the helicopters of Ka-52 of the Southern Military District worked out rocket firing. In the course of the exercises, the crews of “Alligators” performed elements of a complex pilotage in the composition of the link and worked out air combat.

In November, it became known about the supply of upgraded helicopters Ka-52m Russian military in 2022. As part of the contract that the Ministry of Defense concluded with the Helicopters of Russia, the defense department will receive 15 cars per year. The first party will be passed in 2022.
