Apple will cease to sell their smartphones with headphones in France since the end of January. It is reported by the French-speaking edition of Consomac.
The decision of the American company was reported by representatives of one of the trading networks of France. The statement states that from January 24, the implemented Apple smartphones will be supplied without a free wired headset. This is caused by changes in French legislation.
So far, France is the only state for which Apple market has to sell the iPhone with headphones. In 2020, the company finally stopped laying an adapter and headset into the box with SMARTON. French legislation required the presence of headphones sold on the territory of the country, which could reduce radio frequency radiation from the gadget.
This reports that the French authorities adopted a new law, according to which the dissemination of a free headset together with devices can harm the environment. Together with Apple from free headphones will also refuse Xiaomi.
Apple has repeatedly tried to punish the lack of accessories in a set of new iPhone. So, in March 2021, the Office of Consumer Protection of Brazilian São Paulo (ProCon-SP) fined the company for 10.5 million real (almost 1.9 million dollars) for selling smartphones without charging devices.
