The doctors of the American Cardiology Association called invisible at first glance, on which it is possible to determine the occurrence of a stroke, reports “Medic forum”.
Specialists noted that “dumb” strokes arise in the case when the blockage of blood vessels in the human brain causes cell death. It is noteworthy that at the same time there are no symptoms warning about it. According to doctors, they are associated with subtle problems in human movements and mental processing.
One of the main signs to help determine the stroke are facial changes, for example, a person’s inability to smile, or if his mouth or eyes are lowered. In addition, symptoms can manifest themselves in their hands – in one of the limbs, numbness can begin, or a person will not be able to raise and hold his arms due to weakness. In the stroke, a person may seem very vigorous and not complain about, but to experience problems with a speech or understanding that he is talking to others.
Earlier, the head of the neurology of the Russian Gerontological Scientific and Clinical Center by Rnim. N.I.Pirogov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Neurologist Tatyana Manevich said that the stroke can occur not only among the elderly, but also in young people. The doctor warned 30-year-old Russians about the risk of stroke and stated that a sharp rise or a drop in blood pressure can lead to it, as well as a heart rhythm violation.
