Putin declared a new indexation of pensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to index the pensions in accordance with the level of real inflation not only for civilians, but also for the military, RIA Novosti reports. Indexing size will be 8.6 percent.

Head of State instructed to recalculate from January 1, 2022. According to the current budget parameters, the amount of military pensions was supposed to grow by 4 percent from October 1.

Putin stressed that such indexation will be higher than the actual inflation over the past year, which, contrary to forecasts, reached 8.39 percent. According to him, Military retirees should receive money from the nearest payment.

Infection the size of the insurance part of the pension is 8.6 percent instead of 5.9 percent, prescribed in the budget, the president proposed on January 12. On the eve, on January 20, the State Duma adopted the relevant amendments to the budget. Next week will consider the Federation Council.
