American President Joe Biden spoke at the online event of the National Committee of the Democratic Party. He spoke about the state of democratic and authoritarian regimes at the moment, TASS reports.
Biden stated a “real race” between democracies and autocracy in the modern world. He stressed that Russian leaders and China Vladimir Putin and Si Jinping, as well as other heads of state believe in the discrepancy between democracy of the 21st century. Biden explained such an opinion by rapid changes that do not allow “to develop a consensus due to lack of time”, however, “autocracy can just do it.”
“We will demonstrate that democracy is the only way. I speak every world leader that the rate against the American people has never been good,” the US President warned.
Previously, Biden reproached authoritarian states in justifying repressive practices. Such modes are trying to “ignite the flame of social split and political polarization.”
