EU Commission obliged Poland to pay 70 million euros

The European Union sent to Polish representatives to pay a penalty for violations in the work of the country’s judicial system, reports Reuters.

The EU Commission reported that the refusal to fulfill the decision of the European Union Court of the abolition of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court Poland must pay a fine within 45 days. The total amount of compensation will be about 70 million euros.

On October 27 of last year, the EU Justice Court adopted the appropriate decision and ordered it to finant to fine for one million euros per day before the court decision was fulfilled. It was criticized by the Polish authorities. In their opinion, the reform of the national judicial system lies exclusively in the competence of the sovereign Polish Republic.

Earlier, the Polish eurreptat from the party “Law and Justice”, Joachim Burudzignan, accused the European Union in violating the principles of democracy. According to him, representatives of the European Commission (EC) consider themselves “big democrats”, but for them democracy is that all political parties can rule in EU member states, but provided that they are parties of the Brussels Eastball.
