Dismissed minister in Kazakhstan found a place in presidential advisers

Former Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Magum Mirzagaliyev received the place of adviser to the President of the Republic of Kasima-Zhomart Tokayev. The appropriate order of the head of the republic has been published by his press service.

Mirzagaliyev was one of those officials who, during the promised Tokayev, the permutations in the government were resigning. It was his agency responsibly for an increase in the price of liquefied gas in Kazakhstan, because of which the first rallies began, which then turned into mass riots. While Mirzagaliyev was determined by the presidential assistants, the ministerial chair took his deputy Bolat Acchulakov.

The composition of the new government Tokayev approved on January 11. Despite the fact that ministers were resigned against the background of mass riots and the requirements of political changes in the country, new persons in Kazakhstani government offices were a bit. In most cases, the places of dismissed ministers were taken by their deputies, and the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Financial Agency, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Agriculture retained posts. The international organization Human Rights Watch marked early in the report that Kazakhstan’s leadership does not conduct real reforms.

At the same time, Tokayev promised to Kazakhstani to prepare a package of changes in the political system of Kazakhstan. By September 2022, the government is going to change the electoral system, the “analysis of flights” is also expected in the state block.
