Roscosmos continues monitoring 14 January

Roskosmos State Corporation continues operational monitoring of emergency situations around the world by means of the Russian orbital grouping. From the beginning of 2022, the Russian Earth’s remote sensing data in the amount of about 1.2 million square meters was transferred to the EMERCOM of Russia. km.

From January 1 to January 13, the following emergencies were monitored at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia:

  • Weather furnishings on the military Georgian road;
  • Ice crossings in several regions of the Russian Federation;
  • furnishings in the Novosibirsk region;
  • stuck in the ice in Khabarovsk Territory;
  • Threat of flooding in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the interests of the International Charter on Space and Large Catastrophes during the reporting period, flood monitoring was carried out in Brazil. On the basis of media reports on natural and man-made catastrophes around the world, the space survey of volcanic activity in Kamchatka was planned.

In the framework of the monitoring of the flood and fire hazardous situation in the Russian Federation, Russian DZP data in the amount of 14 thousand square meters were transferred to representatives of regional authorities. km (4 shooting routes without taking into account cloud routes and routes passing in areas of interest of several applications at the same time).

on requests established as a result of searching in media news reports on natural and man-made catastrophes around the world, the Russian data of the remote sensing of the Earth in the amount of about 29 thousand square meters was obtained. km, and in the International Charter on Space and Large Catastrophes – 53 thousand square meters. km.

In the framework of the commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Roscosmos State Corporation organized a 24-hour operational monitoring of the flood and fire hazardous situation, as well as other natural and technogenic disasters. Roscosmos supports operational interaction with the EMERCOM of Russia for timely response to the occurrence of a flood and fire hazardous situation and the implementation of space monitoring of the affected territories.
