The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov declared contradictions in the statements of “Defenders of Western Values”, speaking of the statements of Vice President of the United States Camala Harris and the former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. In particular, she indicated that Harris compared the assault capitol with supporters of the former US President Donald Trump in January 2021 with an attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The Tikhanovsky office, in turn, responded to unrest in Kazakhstan, the phrase “Street protest is one of the few available in the authoritarian modes of ways to express civil will.”

Previously, Zakharova stated that some US representatives do not understand what is happening in Kazakhstan and give it to the official position.
