US authorities against the backdrop of a record number of cases of mass shooting in the country announced new steps to reduce them: from now on, weapons will sell only those who have a place for its safe storage, that is, a safe. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the American administration.
According to the message of the press service of the White House, this measure is designed to prevent cases when the weapon does not fall into those hands. Now firearms can be sold only to someone who confirms the safety of its storage.
Head of the Ministry of Justice and Prosecutor General of the US Merrick Garland said that his department will continue to take appropriate steps to reduce the number of killed or wounded as a result of unscrupulous use of weapons.
Russia has similar rules for the storage of weapons. According to the law FZ-150 “On weapons”, a safe or wardrobe need to buy in advance. Its presence is checked before issuing permission. Box or safe must be made of durable metal or drip iron. Weapons and cartridges should be stored in it so that foreign costs could not gain access to dangerous subjects.
On November 30, a teenager opened a shooting at school in the city of Oxford State Michigan and killed four students, and seven were injured. As the police spokesman told, the attacker during his stay at school made from 15 to 20 shots from a semi-automatic pistol, with which he was detained.
