France: New Year’s Eve burned 874 cars

The minister clarified that the number of vehicles burned per night from Friday, December 31, on Saturday, January 1, reached 874, but decreased compared with previous years – for example, in 2019 unknown persons destroyed over 1.3 thousand cars .

Darmanane also said that overnight in the country more than 440 people were detained, about 380 were taken into custody. At the same time, the number of cases of attacks on police officers decreased. The head of the department expressed gratitude to the police and gendarmerie staff who patrolled the streets of cities on the festive night.
