In Italy, a sharp increase in cases of COVID-19 infection per day, for the first time during a pandemic in the country, more than 100 thousand people were infected in Coronavirus. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statistics of the country’s Ministry of Health.
During the day, 126,888 people were announced. On the eve of the increase amounted to 98 thousand infected. Thus, the anti-record has been updated the sixth day in a row.
The increase in mortality per day amounted to 156 cases, when, on Monday, December 27, 136 people were announced victims of the pandemic.
Earlier in December in Italy introduced the mandatory wearing masks on the street. According to Roberto Sperans, the Minister of Health of the Country Health, citizens must use FFP2 respirator masks in public transport, in cinema, theaters and stadiums. Also, the Minister stated, the validity period of the electronic certificate Green Pass will be reduced from nine to six months.
