= US President Joe Biden was preparing for a conversation with Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. This was told about the representative of the American High Rank Administration, TASS reports.
Head of the White House in the last few days has prepared for a conversation on the phone together with representatives of his high-ranking team on foreign policy, said official.
“You all know them, but first of all it was a Secretary of State [Anthony Blinken] and the National Security Assistant Jake Salivan. And others were involved in the preparation,” he indicated.
Earlier, the assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov said that Putin and Biden discussed the issue of providing security guarantees by the United States. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue, in general, the American colleague seriously and logically responded to the point of view of the Russian leader, and he, in turn, stressed several times the main provisions that Moscow adheres to.
The conversation between the Russian and American leaders began at 15.35 in Washington time (23.35 MSK) on Thursday, December 30, and ended at 16.25 (00.25 MSK Friday, December 31), reported in the White House. In total, the dialogue lasted 50 minutes. According to Ushakov, the parties “subtractively talked”, the main topics were affected.
