Zakharova commented on sentence of Belarusian court Russian Dudnik

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharov commented on the sentence of the Belarusian Court of the 21-year-old Russian Russian Dudnikov. She spoke about it during a briefing, reports the correspondent “Renta.ru”.

Zakharova stated that Russian diplomats could not attend the court hearing, because due to the accusation of Dudnikov in calls to actions against national security, his case was considered in closed mode.

She noted that the Russian Embassy in Belarus keeps the situation on control and monitors compliance with the procedural rights of Russian.

On December 27 in Minsk, the court sentenced Yegor Dudnikov by 11 years of the reinforced regime colony. Previously, he moved to Belorussia for his girl. In May, he was detained on charges of organizing and preparing actions, roughly violating public order. He was charged with voice acting for the opposition during mass protests that swept the republic after the presidential election in August 2020. Human rights activists consider Dudnikov political prisoner.
