US abolished humanitarian flights from Afghanistan

US authorities canceled humanitarian flights from Kabul because of concerns that the participants of Taliban (prohibited in Russia as a terrorist organization) can use aircraft for departure from the country and further search for money to ensure their activities. About it reports The Times.

Sources of publication report that the Taliban put forward the demand to take their supporters as a passenger for each flight of Qatar Airways, which was chartered by the US authorities for humanitarian flights. It is assumed that Islamic fundamentalists thus want to get abroad to search for money for the new leadership of Afghanistan.

The proceedings that was initiated by the airline led to a temporary stop of regular flights from mid-December. The date of the resumption of flights remains unknown.

Earlier it was reported that the Militants of the Taliban movement opened fire for women who organized a peaceful demonstration. Dozens of girls went to protests with transparencies “We are the voice of the hungry people”, “justice!”, “Long live humanity.”

On December 27, the Taliban banned women to ride long distances without escorting a relative-man. The militants also called on vehicle owners and taxi drivers to deny women in services if they do not wear hijab.
