Head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina estimated information about the possible control of the regulator for money transfers of Russians. She told about it in an interview with TV channel “Russia-1”.
Nabiullina denied the data published by the RBC edition. She stated that the Central Bank does not plan to collect information about the transfers of the physical.
“We are now working with some banks, in which the risk of using their platforms for payments to illegal online casino, financial pyramids, so that banks can effectively build a job here. Previously, the Central Bank responded to information on the monetary translation of Russians. The regulator stated that they do not plan to create new reporting for banks to control the operations of individuals. The Bank of Russia clarified that it is about countering payments conducted by illegal business to illegal online casinos and financial pyramids.
On December 27, RBC edition reported that the Bank of Russia will begin to control all transfers of funds between individuals. For this, the regulator will request relevant information from banks, including personal data of citizens.
