Italy: declared a decrease in effectiveness of vaccinations from COVID-19 months

The effectiveness of vaccinations from coronavirus five months after the introduction of the second dose of the vaccine decreases almost twice – by 40 percent. About this on Sunday, December 26, stated in the Highest Institute of Health of Italy, writes TASS.

“150 days after the completion of the vaccination cycle, the effectiveness of drugs in preventing disease is reduced from 71.5 percent to 30.1 percent,” the document says.

At the same time, specialists noted, the effectiveness of vaccination in the prevention of severe disease during infection remains high: 92.7 percent of those who have been vaccinated less than five months ago, and 82.2 percent of those who have been vaccinated more than 150 days ago.

Previously scientists from National Institutes of Health (NIH) US said that coronavirus was able to penetrate the majority of body bodies, in particular, in the heart and brain, and remain there more than seven months.
