Belarusian citizens were allowed to make their own proposals for the project of the New Constitution of the country. This was announced by the head of the administration of the President of the Republic of Igor Sergeyenko, transfers BelTA.
The text of the Constitution with additions was previously published on the website of the President of Belarus. Now the new stage of work on the basic law begins, the administration said. “[Text posted] so that our people, citizens of our country can meet, make their proposals. Proposals will be made by any state bodies of our country,” Sergeenko said.
According to the official, all the additions and ideas of Belarusians will be processed daily at the National Center for Legal Information. The department on the results of collecting information will publish the “brightest sentences” in generalized. “It will also be the opinions of experts, ordinary citizens, are not indifferent to the fate of our country of people,” Sergeyenko added.
The text that appeared in public access has already managed to become an object of criticism. In particular, the political scientist Dmitry Bolkolinets in a conversation with “ribbon.ru” called the project attempt to president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to stream on two chairs. “It is written only for one person and his environment,” – commented on Bolkinets.
The updated version of the Belarusian Constitution, which has yet to be taken, contains additional restrictions on the presidential term, as well as the provisions on the Great Patriotic War. Vote for or against the adoption of amendments to citizens of Belarus to be in the second half of February.
