Former president of Kyrgyzstan presented a new charge in case of “Kumtor”

In relation to the former president of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayeva, the investigation of the criminal case continues. This was reported in the press service of the State Committee of the National Security of the Republic.

The department announced the need to convey to the public with objective information in connection with the “false statements of individuals” about the removal of all accusations from the former president.

The GKNB also noted that Akayev was presented with a new accusation regarding the General Agreement with the Kamko company in 1992 and the restructuring of the Kumtor gold deposit project in 2003.

they added that the ex-head of Kyrgyzstan fully recognized his guilt in the commission of crimes and actively cooperates with a consequence, and its departure beyond the rest of the republic is pre-agreed with the investigator.

Previously, the associate of Akayev Beckbolot Talgarbeckov said that with the former Kyrgyz leader, the criminal proceedings were charged about the development of the “kumtor”. According to him, the case was discontinued due to the absence of a crime composition.
