MID PRC opposed the placement of US medium-based ground-based rockets in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“China resolutely opposes the placement of the United States of the Middle Land Basement Racks in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe to any form,” the ministry says. In Beijing, they also noted that the Chinese side adheres to a defensive military strategy and nuclear weapons will apply first.
“China never placed nuclear weapons outside of its territory and never provided a” nuclear umbrella “to other countries”, – added to the MFA of China. Also, the agency noted the need to conclude an analogue of the START-III agreement between Russia and China.
Earlier, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the United States in providing a serious negative impact on the global strategic balance and stability, as well as the process of international arms and disarmament control. Commenting on the exit of Russia from the Agreement on the Open Sky (Don), China’s Foreign Ministry pointed out that Washington unilaterally denounced the agreement.
