The conversations of the American side about the “raising rates” by Russia in the light of the publication of security guarantees initiatives in Europe testify to the unwillingness of the United States and NATO to carry out the necessary work in this area. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, reports RIA Novosti.
Ryabkov also caught the West in the absence of political will. “If they do not respond to our proposals or react negatively – this means that they conduct a conscious line to disappoint relations, to preserve crisis phenomena, for injection of tension,” the diplomat said.
He also stated that silence or negative US response to the Russian initiative would demonstrate the desire to preserve the crisis in bilateral relations with Russia. At the same time, Ryabkov noted that, publishing projects for security guarantees, the Russian Foreign Ministry proceeded from the fact that the United States is aware of the difficult security situation.
