China will launch a “lunar” rocket

China in 2026 planned to conduct a first launch of a rocket, which can be used to send until 2030 Taikonavtov to the Moon, reports Spacenews.

It is noted that the new carrier will receive engines operating on kerosene and liquid and oxygen. The publication writes that China is hoping for relatively fast progress in the development of a rocket.

According to Spacenews, the new rocket will be based on the technologies of the heavy carrier Long March 5 and will allow China to reach the moon faster than the above-mentioned Long March 9 missile. It is expected that the new carrier is capable of delivering up to 27 tons to the lunar orbit. Its height will reach 90 meters. The rocket will receive the YF-100K engine – the upgraded version of YF-100 from Long March 5.

In May 2019, the master of the foundry shop of the Energomash Scientific and Production Association Vladislav Palamarchuk said that the enterprise would resume production of the RD-120 rocket engine.

In May of the same year it was reported that China plans in 2020 to launch his first rocket with a multi-sized first step, which (derivatives YF-100) are based on RD-120 whose technology Beijing is obtained from Kiev.
