The international political situation pushes Russia and China to strengthen the strategic partnership. Such an opinion expressed Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov in an interview with NEWSWeek.
he noted that in the situation in the world, the situation without a doubt leads to strengthening the strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing. However, the diplomat emphasized, unlike the United States and their allies on NATO, Russia and the PRC have no geopolitical plans and goals for any sovereign state.
Antonov assured that the Russian foreign policy aims to “create a stable and sustainable system of international relations based on international law, principles of equality, mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.”
Earlier, the ambassador called the accusation of Russia in “aggressive plans for the neighboring state” by the United States with regardless propaganda of Washington. According to the diplomat, to prevent further promotion of NATO to the East and the placement of weapons at the Western borders of Russia, it is necessary “legally binding agreement with the participation of the United States and their European allies.”
