US: presented a flying plate for military

Zeva Aero from the United States presented the prototype of the aircraft in the form of a flying saucer. Developers believe that their development will be interested in the military. This is reported by New Atlas.

Zero Aerotaxix was performed in the form of a disc with a diameter of 2.4 meters. The aircraft weighing 317 kilograms is made of carbon fiber. Zero received four screws with an electric drive that feeds the battery with a capacity of 20 kilowatt-hours. The manufacturer emphasizes that during serial production the value of Zero will be about 250 thousand dollars.

The device from Zeva Aero takes off vertically and in flight takes a horizontal position. This causes the possibility of using unprepared sites. The concept of an electrical apparatus was checked during flight tests of a reduced copy of Zero. The full-sized prototype is tested using safety cables.

The manufacturer declares that the flying plate will be able to fly up to 80 kilometers at a maximum speed of 257 kilometers per hour. The head of Zeva Aero Stephen Tibbit suggested that Zero will be interested in the military.

Earlier, Rolls-Royce reported that its electric aircraft broke the speed record. During the test, the maximum speed of the Spirit of Innovation aircraft was 623 kilometers per hour.
