In WHO, they called on Europeans to observe mask regime for saving lives

The World Health Organization (WHO) called on Europeans to observe the mask regime for the sake of saving lives and reducing the cases of coronavirus. This was stated by the executive director of the European Branch of WHO Robb Butler, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the WHO Representative, if 95 percent of Europeans were mask, it would be possible to save 160 thousand lives. “Only 48 percent of the population of the European Region enjoys masks. At that moment, when this figure is growing, – if he grow up, there will be a reduction in cases of the disease and a decrease in mortality,” he indicated.

Butler also drew attention that 45-47 percent of the entire population of European countries is currently not vaccinated from coronavirus. “Let me absolutely clearly declare: most people who are in the departments of intensive therapy are not vaccinated today,” he stressed.

Earlier, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros, Adan Garesus, called the “shocking imbalance” the situation with the global distribution of vaccines from coronavirus. He told that 70 percent of 7.3 billion doses of vaccine went out only 10 countries.
