American provocations near Russia’s borders may result in a serious military incident due to the human factor, which, in turn, will turn into tragic consequences for both parties. This was stated by Military Observer TASS, Colonel in resignation Viktor Litovkin in a conversation with “Tape.ru.”
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, said that in November, the US Air Force Strategic Bombers worked out a possible nuclear strike in Russia. The minister also pointed to a significant increase in the activity of American aircraft in close proximity to the country’s borders.
“Any mistake with one side or another can become a trigger of the Third World War – Well, maybe not a third world war, but a serious incident with the death of people, the death of the aircraft, and so on,” he warned.
According to him, the United States often turns to intimidating nuclear weapons, shock aircraft carriers and other military actions as a tool for conducting a hybrid war against individual states and their associations. However, such measures do not always bring the desired results: so, for example, the administration of the US President Donald Trump, at one time failed to intimidate North Korea. “Along Americans are fighting with those countries that weak and cannot give him back,” Litovkin said. “Against strong states, they are not able to fight, they are afraid, because losses for Americans will be very sensitive.”
