US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken thanked the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of South African Republic (South Africa) Tald Pandor for the rapid detection of the Omicron strain of coronavirus and the operational distribution of information details. “Secretary of State Blinken in particular gave a high assessment of the work of South African scientists for the rapid identification of the” Oomikron “species and the Government of South Africa for transparency in terms of dissemination of information, this should serve as an example of the world,” the statement says.
The head of the State Department also expressed its appreciation to South Africa for long-standing cooperation with the United States in the field of health.
