Second power unit of Belarusian NPP successfully passed next stage of path to launch

The Belarusian NPP (Belayes) successfully passed the next stage on the way to launch at full capacity. In the Ministry of Energy, Belarus reported that on November 26, the interdepartmental commission signed an act of readiness for the operation of a complex of structures on the physical protection of the second power unit of the NPP.

The signing of the act means the transition to the preparation of the physical start of the second power unit of the nuclear power plant, as well as the transfer of nuclear power plants to the Ministry of the Interior. Belarusian security forces will soon interfere with the prepared posts in the station.

The modern system of physical protection of the station includes a plurality of components, including means of communication and information protection, checkpoints, means for transporting special groups, video surveillance on the entire object, as well as managed physical barriers.

November 17, the Belayes has an automatic shutdown of the first power unit of the station from the network. According to the Minister of Energy of Belarus, Viktor Karankevich, the automation worked due to an incorrect signal.

Belarusian NPPs are completing in the city of Ostrovets specialists from Rosatom. Bealers will work with two Russian power units of VVER-1200. In its construction, Russia allocated a loan of ten billion dollars in Minsk, according to which recently reduced the bet to 3.3 percent. After starting the first power unit, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the country “nuclear power.”
