Cars rise in price due to “explosive growth” steel prices after the completion of export duties. This cause of the rise in price of cars called Vice-President of AvtoVAZ for external relations and interaction with shareholders Sergey Gromach, Interfax reports.

But this mechanism is valid only until the end of the year, in November the price has grown by 4-11 percent compared to October, stressed the top manager of AvtoVAZ. As soon as the act of duties will end, the explosive increase in prices for this type of raw materials will begin again, he predicts.
Gromm asked the government to extend the export duties for 2022. Earlier, the “Lada.online” portal said that AvtoVAZ prepares another, seventh this year, increase prices for the model range. Granta, with the exception of models with manual control, will rise in price by 7 thousand rubles, Xray and Niva Legend – for 8 thousand, Niva Travel – for 9 thousand, Lada Vesta, Xray Cross and Largus – by 10 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the head of Rostech, Sergey Chemezov, noted that AvtoVAZ increased the cost of cars by an average of 9-12 percent.
