Two inhabitants of the Norwegian commune Eygarden became infected with the new Omicron-strain coronavirus and became the first carriers of this type of infection in the country. This is reported on the commune website.
The Commune authorities reported that citizens infected with the new version were recently traveled in South Africa. Mayor Eigharden Tom Georg Indrevik stated that the municipality has already contacted the National Institute of Public Health of Norway and is ready to take precautions to stop the spread of the disease.
To date, in Egarten already released a decree, which obliges residents of the commune to wear masks in public places and enter the sanitary pass to the restaurants. In addition, the municipality authorities received additional instructions for further measures from the Ministry of Health of Norway.
