Police detained a man with a shotgun at UN headquarters

In the US, the police detained a man armed with a shotgun, at the UN headquarters in New York, no one suffered. This is reported by TASS with reference to the representative of the city police department.

According to him, the incident at the organization’s building was not associated with terrorism. The arms of the detainee was charged with one patron.

Employees who have joined negotiations with a man whose personality is not disclosed, established that he wanted to transfer some papers to the UN. The police representative clarified that among them there were medical documents and other records that do not explain the motives of the detainee.

Male arrived in New York on December 1 from Florida and settled in the hotel “Milhenium”. Law enforcement officers were searching in his room. The police have not yet presented delayed charges.

Earlier, the police received several messages about an armed man near the headquarters of the organization. All UN staff called to hide inside the headquarters, the complex was closed. Later, law enforcement officers stated that there are no threats for employees and passersby.
