As the agency’s interlocutor told, work on the modernization of submarines at the Far Eastern Plant “Check-in” is scheduled for 2022. Thus, “Chelyabinsk” will be equipped with universal start-up installations to launch the “Onyx” missiles and “zircon”. “His combat potential will increase repeatedly,” the source noted.

Chelyabinsk submarine was laid in 1987 on the 749A project and launched in 1990. It is part of the Pacific Fleet.
