Lithuanian democracy lighthouse blended the wind of the storm. About this, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov said on a weekly briefing, the correspondent “Renta.ru” reports.
She commented on the characteristic of Lithuania by the head of Pentagon Lloyd Austin as a “lighthouse of democracy” and his promise to help the republic in strengthening its armed forces to fight Russia, Belarus and China.
Zakharova accused Lithuanian border guards in the “brutal” attitude towards illegal migrants who fell into the country from the Belarusian territory, and wondered about the feasibility of “pumping” Vilnius American weapons.
Commenting on the opposition of Lithuania of Russia and China, the diplomat stressed that it is not in the interests of the people of the republic. According to the representative of the Foreign Ministry, such a policy is implemented “on request of other structures and other countries.”
