UN urged US to remove sanctions with Iran

The UN Deposnepries for Political Affairs Rosemary Dikarlo called on the United States to remove sanctions from Iran, as required by the agreement on a joint comprehensive action plan (CSPD).

According to her, the UN Secretary-General expects that in the current negotiations, the United States and Iran mobilize the same spirit and the desires, which resulted in the conclusion of UNDPD. Dikarlo noted that there is no viable alternative to the full and effective execution of CVPD.

“In this regard, together with the Gensen, I urge the United States to cancel the sanctions, as indicated in the plan, and expand the exceptions regarding trade and oil towards Iry,” she said. According to her, it is also necessary to expand the exceptions from Washington, which apply to certain types of peaceful nuclear activities at Busheter facilities, Fondo and the Araq reactor.

Dikarlo stressed that expanding exemptions is also required to export enriched uranium from Iran in exchange for natural uranium.

Iran and major nuclear powers are trying to resume the transaction 2015 on the joint comprehensive action plan (UNDPD), according to which Tehran limited its nuclear program in exchange for exemption from US economic sanctions, the EU and the UN. The United States came out of the transaction in 2018 during the presidential period of Donald Trump.
