For most French viewers, the Generic from the beginning of Sex and the City, series broadcast on M6 – in second part of the evening – was their first contact with HBO, the American cable chain became at the turn of the 2000s the standard meter of the standard Good serial taste. This is the place in the heart of the public, this story of milf seeking love in a New York pre-11-September – at least in its first seasons, the series had stretched from 1998 to 2004.
