The US Ministry of Energy will start selling the first 18 million barrels of oil from national reserves on December 17, refers to the statement of the department.
In addition, 4.8 million barrels of oil will be promoted by Exxon Mobil with the obligation to return the same volume with a small imminible. The ministry also indicated that openly for similar requests from other companies.
The reason for the printing of the cube was the need to satisfy the demand of the population and stabilize the prices of engine fuel.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden announced the release of 50 million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve of the country. The decision to use strategic reserves also accepted China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom. Prior to that, Biden has repeatedly appealed to OPEC and Russia with a request to increase oil production to reduce its value in the market.
