The Russian Ministry of Defense decided to form new units on Su-34 bombers. New squadrons will appear in airliators with modernized Su-34 NBOs. This is reported to “Izvestia” with reference to sources in the defense department.
Bombarding airlines will receive a third squadron with SU-34 Bombers-34 Bombers. The modernized plane received new suspended reconnaissance containers. Su-34 NBO can use an optical-electronic, radio engineering and radar container. New equipment increases the range of detection of ground, marine and air targets.
Former commander of the 4th Army of Air Force (Air Force) and Air Defense (Air Defense), Russia’s hero Valery Gorbenko noted that an additional squadron will expand the possibilities of airlines. “With the advent of the third squadron, the airlocks will again become independent tactical units,” he noted.
In October, it became known about the redeployment of the airmaker on Su-34. The 47th bombarding aviation regiment will be transferred to Voronezh. During the reconstruction of the Voronezh airfield, the regiment was based in Buturlinovka.
