Russia from the point of view of consumer behavior was one of the most original markets in the world. This is stated in the study of the international consulting company The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), reports RIA Novosti.
In the course of the study, 18 markets were analyzed, which accounted for 60 percent of the world’s population: Australia , Canada, Brazil, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa , United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and USA. Analysts tried to find out which factors determine the purchasing choice in different countries. 40 thousand respondents became participants in the survey.
“Comparative analysis of countries on pairs, in order to identify the most similar and most different from each other, demonstrated the equidistant of Russia from key markets constituting benchmark,” analysts reported. According to their data, the Group of Benchmark countries includes the United States, China, Japan, Germany, Australia, France, as well as Canada and India.
In the course of the study, it turned out that for citizens of Russia most of all in the world it is important to be able to preserve and emphasize individuality. In addition, they are most of all in the world are ready to spend more in matters that relate to the family. Analysts also reported that for Russians it is most important to maintain communication with cultural heritage. Also, the inhabitants of Russia are more often indicated by the fact that the presence of community support allows them to achieve more.
