Rosneft and CNPC agreed on use of hydraulic technologies

Rosneft and the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation CNPC within the framework of the III of the Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum signed a license agreement for the use of software (software) “pH-grid” – modeling and design technologies and design of the hydraulic break layer (GPP). The own development of Rosneft will contribute to improving the efficiency of the development of oil and gas fields of CNPC, the Russian NK reports.

Rosneft as part of the implementation of a digital strategy in 2017 created the first industrial simulator of the hydraulic rupture of the reservoir “pH-grid”. Import-substituting development provides technological independence of the oil and gas industry of the Russian Federation in the field of computer modeling, mandatory for the use of GPA technology. In 2018, Rosneft began the commercial realization of the unique software package. “RN-Grid” is significantly cheaper than foreign analogues, but in its characteristics surpasses them.

The company has already implemented more than 200 commercial licenses for the use of the software package. Buyers “pH-grid” became the largest Russian and international oil-rolled and oil and gas companies.

As noted during the Forum, Dmitry Konov, the head of Sibur, his company has a successful experience of cooperation with China: This is a joint venture “Sibur” and Sinopec in the Amur region, where 60 percent of the shares belong to the Russian side. “The project is interesting because it, on the one hand, is already successfully moving away, on the other hand, we still need for several years to complete the construction, today the design and go work on the site,” he told.
