Ministry of Defense will receive Russian “superselligators” in 2022

The first 15 helicopters ka-52m “Alligator” will be sent by the Army of Russia in 2022. The entire Ministry of Defense will receive 30 combat vehicles within the framework of the contract concluded with the Helicopters of Russia at the Army-2021 exhibition. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the first batch of helicopters will go in 2022, and the second – in 2023, that is, the Ministry of Defense will receive 15 cars per year. For internal customers, each of the “superselligators” will cost 1,075 billion rubles. However, the specified value does not include ammunition, spare parts and other consumables.

Ka-52m is an upgraded version of the reconnaissance helicopter Ka-52 “Alligator”, which is produced since 2010. A new machine will be installed an optical-electron system with an increased range of detection and recognition of goals, as well as a new digital drive, which allows to increase the aiming accuracy when shooting from gun.

The first flight Ka-52m took place in 2020 at the Progress Aviation in Primorsky Krai. The aircraft is designed for exploration of the terrain, the destruction of tanks and military equipment, other helicopters and aircraft.
