RCC expanded production of modern microcomponents of their own development

Holding “Russian Space Systems” (RCS, is included in the state corporation “Roscosmos”) completed the development of the line of new microcomponents, including modern monolithic integral ultra-frequency (microwave) schemes for satellite data transmission systems – onboard radiolines. The production of equipment with new RCC technologies accelerates the creation of Russian satellites for eco-monitoring, navigation, communications, telecommunications and study of space, and also optimizes the costs of their mass production.

Head of the Division of the RCC Development of onboard microwaves Andrei Buynkin: “The minimum cycle of manufacturing new monolithic integral ultra-frequency circuit circuits of its own development is now 3-5 months against 5 years, which were required earlier to complete the entire chain – from the production of development work to production In a factory with the participation of third parties. The difference is ten times. Comparative and financial benefits: the manufacture of its components will reduce the production costs of the company 2-3 times. “

Today in the family of innovative developments of the RCC – a wide list of microcomponents. The use of new domestic monolithic integral microwave circuits in spacecraft will allow 2-3 times to reduce the mass and dimensions of the receiving-transmission equipment for its more flexible integration into current projects.

A series of unique quadrature modulators, a 5 × 4 mm chip for the creation of modern radiolines for transmitting information from a satellite with ground and space objects increases the stability and quality of high-speed broadband and is already being introduced into the on-board systems of promising spacecraft.

Another direction of this work is to create so-called Core chips (Core-Chip), that is, combinations of small devices (attenuators, low-noise and buffer amplifiers, electrical keys and others), combined in one crystal. Today, such cor-chips are in demand, for example, in creating on-board receiving and transmitting modules, including active phased aid arrays (AFAR) of a new generation, which are used on the most modern spacecraft for transmitting information on the “satellite satellite” lines and satellite -News. “

The RCCs also developed microwave filters for receiving-transmit systems of satellites. These devices in size from 2 × 3 mm provide high noise immunity of the signal from radiation and reliable protection against “extraneous interventions”. Different types of filters are already used in the manufacture of equipment for new generation satellites.

All designs are made with a focus on unification – one of the main strategic goals of the RCC in the field of electronics for space, and can be used in the creation of radio transmitting equipment of spacecraft of an infinite spectrum of tasks and parameters – from scientific microsypass and orbital vehicles for satellite telephony, digital television providing broadband Internet access to multifunctional space stations.
