Germany: admitted a visa-free regime for Russians

The text of the Coalition Agreement of the New Government of the Federal Republic of Germany contains the intention to resolve a visa-free entry into Germany to German citizens under 25 years.

Coordinator of the FRG Cabinet for intersectable cooperation with the Russian Federation and deputy of the Bundestag from the Socialist Party (SDPG) Johan Zathhof told the newspaper “Izvestia” that for such a step Berlin, consultations with the European Union are needed. “I am glad that we managed to include in the coalition agreement for visa-free regime for young people from Russia,” the politician said.

he added that she personally supported this initiative, which, in his opinion, was aimed at uniting people. “The speech will also make that the EU can do to intensify contacts with Russian society, especially during periods when civil society organizations threaten a ban on functioning,” Zaehhof said.

previously became known that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation recognized the three German NGOs unwanted in Russia. For the “threat to the basics of the constitutional system and security of the Russian Federation”, the Department of Organizations of Deutsch-Russia Austausch (“German-Russian Exchange”) were closed, Zentrum Liberale Moderne (“Center for Liberal Modernity”) and Forum RusSischsPrachiger Europäer E.V. (“Forum of Russian-language Europeans”).
