Citizens of Kazakhstan should be rally around the state course of the head of the Republic of Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev. The first President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev said in the course of an expanded meeting of the political council of the ruling party “Nur Otan”, the press service of PoliticalSille.
Former head of state noted that under the leadership of Tokayev, a complex of political and socio-economic reforms is being implemented. Ex-president called on parliament deputies to continue working in the direction of legislative support of these changes.
“It is important that all Kazakhstanis consolidated around the state course of the President and together worked on its implementation. The Metan Otan party should actively deal with this issue, uniting power and society,” Nazarbayev added.
Ex-president also urged to avoid the radicalization of society and advised one-party countersheet to adhere to the centrist positions, “the most relying on the interests of the widest layers of citizens.”
Previously, Nazarbayev reported his readiness to give Tokayev Post Leader of the Nur Otan party. In his opinion, the head of the republic must be headed by the ruling political system.
In March 2019, Nursultan Nazarbayev resigned from the post of President of Kazakhstan, which he occupied for almost 30 years. Since then, the former head of state is the title of the leader of the Nation (Elabasy), and also remains life-lifelong head of the Security Council.
