Rolls-Royce aircraft turned out to be the fastest electric transport in the world. This is reported on the company’s website.
Representatives of the company noted that after recent flight tests, their spirit of innovation aircraft (“Spirit of Innovation”) can be called the fastest electric transport in the world. The aircraft managed to dispersed to a speed of 623 kilometers per hour.
Also in the company’s message says that Spirit of Innovation has established two more world records. The aircraft reached a maximum speed of 555.9 kilometers per hour at a distance of three kilometers. Also, the aircraft rose to the height of more than 3000 meters in 202 seconds, by breaking the former world record for 60 seconds.
Spirit of Innovation is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 400 kilowatt. Rolls-Royce engineers note that it is equipped with the most powerful battery case ever created in the aerospace industry.
“Development supports our ambitions to ensure technological breakthroughs needed by society for the decarbonization of transport by air, land and sea,” the press release says.
In October, the head of Tesla and Spacex Ilon Mask spoke about the desire to create a supersonic electric power supply. However, the entrepreneur stressed that at the moment it is not able to allocate the time for this development.
