Detained in Denmark “Academician Ioffe” crew moved to another ship

Detained in Denmark, the Russian crew of the Akademik Ioffe ship was moved to another ship and sent to Kaliningrad. Information about this was published in the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

“All participants in the scientific expedition are moved from the research vessel” Academician Ioffe “on board” Academician Nikolai Insurance “and are sent to the port of Kaliningrad,” it is reported.

On the arrest of the Russian ship “Academician Ioffe” became known during the day on November 4. On board were 38 crew members and 23 researchers. The lawsuit, on the basis of which the ship was detained, was served by the Canadian company One Ocean Expeditions Ltd. According to some sources, we are talking about a grastifier.

“Academician Ioffe” belongs to the Institute of Oceanology. P.P.Shirshova of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The ship is named after the Soviet scientist Physics Abraha Fedorovich Ioffe. It was built in 1988. In addition to other things, it was used for experiments on the long-range distribution of sound in the ocean.
