The mayor of the city of Cannalend in the Western Cape Province of South Africa Jeffrey Donsson, condemned for the plant by the juvenile, re-elected for a new term, writes The South American.
According to media reports, in 2008, Donsson, being a Grador, was found guilty of a sexual crime against a 15-year-old girl. Pedophile’s assistant was re-elected – they again became Werner Mesha, previously punished for fraud.
Initially, Donsson was condemned for five years in prison, but then changed the punishment on conditional – with observation, rehabilitation program and a fine of 20 thousand Randov (93 thousand rubles). Opposition parties and activists demanded to remove both criminals from office.
In October, it became known that the Russian State Duma plans to consider the draft law on tightening punishment for pedophiles.
