Interviewed named several conditions at which they agree to abandon traditional meat. First of all, consumers concern compliance with security requirements – 37 percent of Russians want to be confident in reliable quality products. According to most respondents, vegetable meat should also preserve the taste and food value to which they are used to in ordinary meat.

Select a third of respondents depends on the cost of a new product. For 22 percent, artificial meat should be cheaper than traditional, and 10 agree to use it while maintaining the same price. At the same time, 14 percent of customers worries the representation of vegetable meat in stores.

However, in Russia, the proportion of those who are not ready to abandon ordinary meat are still large: more than 39 percent of such consumers. More than half of them (56 percent) – citizens of the retirement age. Among young people of opponents of the innovative product is only 19 percent.

Artificial meat is gaining popularity in Russia. In September, only 37.2 percent of the country’s inhabitants were ready to diversify the menu with artificial meat. The proportion of those who did not want to refuse traditional meat was 46.7 percent.
