US President Joe Biden refused to support the independent Taiwan for the sake of relationship with China: he stressed that Washington stands for the “one China” principle, during the online conversation with the chairman of the PRC Xi Jinpin. It is reported by Chinese television, writes TASS.
It is reported that at the meeting the Chinese leader warned an American colleague from any attempts to maintain Taiwanese independence. Biden, according to the representative of the US administration, “clearly spoke on the fact that the US is interested in not one-sided steps that change the status quo.”
Earlier in November in the United States, the likelihood of Taiwan’s power connection to China was estimated: Chairman of the Joint Committee of the headquarters of the US Armed Forces General MARK Milli said that China in the next two years will not try to capture Taiwan military path.
