In Russia, for the first time, the rockets were launched from a shock unmanned helicopter “Termit”. The range of their action is six kilometers, and the flight is adjusted. This was told by the Director General of the Kronstadt company Sergey Rogatikov, the RIA Novosti reports.
Before that, drone-helicopters with rocket weapons in the country were not applied. The novelty developed by the “Armstat” of the Scientific and Production Enterprise (NPP) “Strela” was presented at the Army-2021 forum. Rockets C-8l created by the concern “Kalashnikov”.
“S-8l Aviation Rockets proposed by the concern will really be included in the set of weapons of this helicopter. The first tests with the use of these ammunition were already held as part of the initiative work,” explained the richikov.
The forum was signed a contract between the NPP “Strela” and the Ministry of Defense for the supply of drone “Termit”. Also at the Department of deputy heads, Alexey Krivorucko reported that in the near future these helicopters will go to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the head of the Special Design Bureau of the NPP “Strela” Boris Trunov said that the development work (OCD) on the creation of the UNTT “Termit” will be completed in 2021.
