Russian “king of fraudsters” was sentenced to 10 years in prison

The court in the United States sentenced Russian Alexander Zhukov accused of cybercrime. It is reported by the Ministry of Justice USA.

Citizen of Russia sentenced to 10 years in prison. Also, the “king of fraudsters” was obliged to pay a fine of 3.8 million dollars.

Zhukov detained in Bulgaria in 2018. As follows from the case materials, it used a scheme for cheating views of online advertising Methbot, on which he earned seven million dollars. The New York Times, The New York Post and Nestle Purina and many other companies are victims of fraud. The obtained means of beetles translated into numerous personal and corporate bank accounts in Bulgaria, Russia, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Cyprus.

In May, the court in the United States sentenced Russian Kirill Firsov’s accused in cybercrime. He will hold 30 months in conclusion.
